Want to write for us?

Are you career profressional, experienced recruiter or just a prolific writer?  Then why not write for JobseekersAdvice.com and share your experience with thousands of jobseekers and other career profressionals each month?

Why write for us?

Well, there are plenty of reasons.  Firstly, this site has been around since 2002, so we have a regular flow of visitors from around the world (821,401 visitors throughout 2011), most of whom are looking for some help with their careers.  So this means you have a great opportunity to promote your knowledge and your business to a worldwide market.

There are also some other great benefits;

  • Users will regularly syndicate articles on this site via social media.  For example, the in past week (last week in January 2012), over 100 “social actions” (tweets, likes, +1 and emails) have taken place.
  • I’ll also share and tweet your articles via the JobseekersAdvice.com twitter account.
  • The blog is setup to be compatible with Google+ author profiles, meaning any of your posts in Google search results will include your Google+ information (photo and link to your profile).
  • Your signature (included after any post you make) will link to your website and social media profiles.
  • More benefits to come – I have lots of new features planned for the site, many of which will offer guest authors and moderators rewards for their contributions to the site.

What kind of articles do we want?

If you think an article will be relevant for jobseekers or other career profressionals, then generally speaking it will be fine.  Some examples;

  • General career tips and advice (covering different stages in a career)
  • Career guides (“how to become a…”)
  • CV & Resume tips
  • Interview advice
  • Self emplotment articles
  • Student / education related
  • Working abroad / gap year.
  • Any general industry news
  • Video blogging.

What we don’t want;

  • Articles produced purely for SEO purposes, which means;
    • Keyword links embeded within the content or signature.
    • Overly “optimised” content – stuffed with keywords, etc.
  • Blatantly promotional articles aimed at favouring a particular product or service.
  • Affiliate links.
  • Articles copied from or published on other websites.  The exception would be video content – we can publish your Youtube videos if that’s something you’d be interest in.
  • Posting on behalf of clients for marketing purposes.

Using this site to promote your services is absolutely fine, but it needs to be done in such a way that your knowledge and experience are your strongest marketing tools, and not thin attempts at Internet marketing techniques.

The next step;

You can email me at:  webmaster (at) (this domain)

Please include your name, business, what experience you have and what you think you could bring to the site.
