Hi, All
I am 33 years old and currently doing a (labourer / bricky job). I have been working computers for a few years now. The programs that i have used are vs.net 2002 / 2005 versions (c# language windows forms), also used sql server 2000 / 2005. My current commerical experience is 6 months helping out on a project. After doing this work i could not get the job i wanted unless i got myself a cert, at this present moment i am studying for (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist Qualification) for windows forms. My question is do i apply for jobs while doing the course or wait untill i get my cert ?. The other question i have doing a course while working full time only gives me about 20 hrs a week on the course, should i do this full time to get my cert quick if so is there any financial backing i can get ?. Many Thanks Kered |

Yes of course. You can search and apply for jobs while studying. Now a days most of the people are searching for jobs. In this competitive world it is very difficult to get a good job as we expect. I found that many job sites are also available who provide a good service fro th job seekers and the job providers. I knew a good job site who provide a good service for the applicants and the recruiters. They are specialized in matching the employees and the employers. They are the NO.1 online source for jobs in cloud computing and software services. I got a good job for my career with the help of them.

Yes you can.
While you are studying you should be reading through the books, making notes, looking online for any other useful resources(e.g. MSDN links) and practising what you have learned. So you should be writing lots of programs to gain the experience that you will need. While you are doing all this(!) then you should be looking at sites like jobserve which advertise jobs and look at the job descriptions to see what other skills might be useful and which skills are essential. You can also check which skills are in demand in your area. |
