iv got a 2years gap in work hitory but had a bad expirence need some advice???

i have a 2years gap in my work history but have a good reason i think ,
i was made to leave my home due to some guys knocked my door forced their way in they were all armed , kept saying the i had lots of money and lap-yops in my possetion and they demanded them all and didnt have any of the following but a lap-top bag with ict books in their , they kept threatening me and soon left , then the next day the door knocked didnt see any one as took long to come to it then opend the dooe to see if it was any family then to my suprise their was 5-6 guys hidding behind the wall on the block and bargged in agin had guns on a shotgun a small hangun and revolever to me head , my back , and side i was petrified , imy door knock as was the police because a friend was passing out side and saw into my home and called them but as the door knocked they made me go look through the peep hole and see who was as my mouth was cover by their hand and still had arms on to me then thry looked and saw was police they went quiet and caried me down staires any ways long story short one of them jumped out the back window with fire arm and other through me out the window by force to the 1 olready outside so i could not run or anything any how as they come out they took me to an alley was and told me that if i did not meet them here by 7 in the eaveing same day the know where my house is and that you live with you mum and we will be back and rape her and hurt you we dont want to so dont make us look fro you again!
that same evening mum and my bro come home so i told them and we all offed the lights of the house and called her brother and he told us hes got friends over and they all came just in case something would happen ,
and they guided us out of their and was made homeless due to this could not go back home as was counsil home called the police from his house they said i must have been into something for this to happen but i wassnt , to be honest the only thing i would do is smoke weed at times but iv grown up since then ,
anyhow the we said to the police if i was able to point these people out would they protect me and my family they said no!!!!
so i was not willing to come forward as they would see it was me that got them arrested and look for me more , some friends told me they were looking for me and said if they find me im dead!!!,
anyhow i had become parranoyed , scared to go out the house not even to the shops throw the bin nothing ever time i would see a group of people i would shit my self and now iv finnaly got new house after 2years and am looking for work but i dont know how im going to explane this to the person that would give me a job no one would understand what i went through how i felt scared and everything but could someone plez give me some friendly advice on how to go about this thanks for your time!
