Question I want to work in IT.....

Hi,
I need some help. I have a BA in history and religion. But, I do not want to do anything with those fields. However, I want to do something in IT. I really enjoy working with computers, and I want to make a career out them But, I don't know what I should do. Should I go and get another BA, or an MA? Or just go and get certifications? I am leaning towards doing something involving trouble shooting. I am not a great programmer, and I don't really like creating websites. I do however really enjoy security things. I have thought about getting my CISSP cert, but it seems like that is kind of like climbing MT. Rushmore with out ever even going up a hill. Any advice anyone gives me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I think that if you are interested in trouble shooting you should do two things. First work on a some of the less intensive certifications like an MCTS. These signify proficiency in a specific microsoft technology. Determine where you would like to work and then decide which MCTS might be most useful in helping you get a job in that field. Before you jump into getting tons of higher level certifications it is a good idea to start small and then get some on the job experience to back up your education.

Right now through the end of June Microsoft is running a program that will allow you to retake a certification exam at no charge so if you want to take an exam soon this might be something to check out.

good luck! Let us know what you decide.
