Im 33 years old and was made redundant from my last IT role in May 2009. Since then I have been unable to get a job back in IT. I have over 8 years experience in 1/2nd line support. My last few roles I have been responsible for the IT support (1/2nd line) for the whole company.
Im currently working nights at a local supermarket and feel that I may never get back in IT. This has affected my confidence and my outlook on life as I am not happy within myself. Any advice would be welcomed and would be good to hear from others going through the same. Regards Richard |

There is nothing to worry about on your current situation, IT role is a wide opportunities especially for people who got experience on it. I think time may tell on your situation, but just don't stop your selt on the IT updates...

Hi Richard ,
IT sector is stable now, my advise to you is the more you stay at your local super market you will be really wasting your time. Try , work trial with IT compnay for a month. Say 1 week once and tell them you are so eager to get back to work..but lack of confidence. I am sure someone somewhere will get you somewhere U wanna go.. All The Best |
