Networking & advice website

Hi everyone,

I while ago when I was browsing jobs online I stumbled upon a useful website which I now can't find...
It was similar to linkedin.com in that people made profiles which showed the companies that they had worked for - but people also shared info on how they got into different industries/ how each job helped them get where they are now.

Does anyone know of a website like this???

Alot of the JobSearch sites like CareerBuilders, Monster, SimplyHired, Indeed, JobCentral, WorkingCouples, etc......all have their own FORUMS which are usually linked to the main site. Try re-visiting some of them and see if that brings anything up. Most of them provide the type of helpful info.....just as we do here.

I have found that you can actually do a lot of networking on blogs and message boards in your industry as well as just job boards. Most employers are not looking at the job boards for hiring they just do mass submissions to all of the websites and never actually visit them.

Really good site. There is a networking eliment but very clearly for people looking for jobs and for anyone advertising jobs. It is a bit different. I like it.

I used to be jobless for about 3 months...i used a book i found at skilledjobsearch.com and found a job within about 3 weeks time. I recommend it to anyone that is searching for a job. I know it's tough out there guys, remember to network network network. Your resume should be top notch too!
