Default Are You Jumping About All Over The Place?

If I'm honest Rjoshi, it looks like you are jumping all over the place without any real direction or ownership of your career.

It is very easy to get 'sucked in' to what friends tell us, hence you considering HR positions. With all your experience and where you have a lot of interest, I would suggest that the last type of job you should be seeking is within HR.

You need now to start looking at yourself Rjoshi, what is it YOU have and what is it YOU want out of a job. Read this article that might help you identify what those are:

Personal Qualities and Skills - Top Tips to Identify Your Personal Skills and Qualities

Now take a look at all these Job Profiles and once you have done that, use the Career Values exercise on the left hand side of the page to find out what your real interests and motivators are.

Job Profiles

What do I seek from a Job?

Good luck, try now to get some focus rather than keep doing course after course at the risk of becoming a 'perpetual student'.

Good luck

Trish

Default You know yourself better than I know you

Hi Rjoshi,

You're absolutely right in your thinking. The main thing is to get a job and earn money and if the timing isn't right and the job doesn't offer you everything you need to motivate you, then look outside for it.

This is sometimes where people just become 'victims' to a job, they constantly moan all the time rather than looking at how they can make themselves happy. This doesn't have to be in the workplace.

Start by registering with some of these:

Freelancer

Elance

Fiverr

99 Designs

Good luck Rjoshi, at least you're not prepared to just sit around doing nothing.

All the best
Trish

work on some of the suggestions by other member.

It looks like you are mixing up with your career. Since you are more interested in web development, you don't need an MBA - operations. I don't see any connection with both.

The best way is to pursue your career in the freelance mode as suggested by other members. Visit some of the sites like (elance, freelancer etc) and see whether it really helps you.

Thanks,
Robert

In this case, try to get into PMP certification. The MBA won't help you unless you do systems as major. Operation means looking after all departments and is a small business head role. Are you looking forward a CEOs role? If yes, then do operations.

Since you are interested in web development and interested in managing a team of people and projects, then PMP is an ideal one. Not MBA.

Try to get the details of MBA - Operations (curriculam, subjects etc) or meet a person who has done MBA Operation. They will tell you what exactly is it.

Hope this helps.

Robert
