Default This Job Is NOT For the Anti-Social

I have social problems. It's especially hard for me to carry on a conversation with people I don't know.

That being said, this business is especially hard for me. My job is to get people to sign up for membership at the company I work for (Ameriplan) and/or get people jobs at the company so they can do the same thing I'm doing, as well as get the membership benefits. I have to find people any way I can, and I can't.

I go to business briefings every week and those always get me fired up and ready to work. The way they talk about how fast we can make a lot of money, the rate at which we get paid, how often they bring people in, etc. Then when I actually work, I'm ready to quit.

I've been passing out flyers almost every day, adding up to over 300 people taking them. The only ones who bothered to call back say they don't have Internet, which is crucial. One guy yelled at me and threatened to rob me when I tried to offer him a job.

I've been sending e-mails to leads for two weeks straight. Over 100 e-mails, and the only reply I ever got was "Uuhhh, no, thanks." Most of the e-mails bounce back to me about errors. Something about the addresses not being in service, or something.

My only hope is when my mother gives me her friends' phone numbers. She gave me plenty, but most don't answer, and others get sidetracked.

In the past month and several weeks I've worked there, I only got two people hired. One was my mother, who actually introduced me to the job, and the other was a cousin she spoke to for me. If I would have signed up two more people by last Monday, I would have gotten about $900 for that week alone.

Btw, because I got two people on my binary (long story), I get $40 per month so far.

People are losing jobs left and right, and yet some still manage to be stupid enough not to at least check out what someone offers them. Passing out job flyers is especially annoying when I see the same groups of people standing in the same spots since I was a high schoolsophomore (4 years ago), doing nothing but talk, obviously about everything but jobs, yet they take my flyers for nothing.
