Default Disclose Infractions to Employers?

Hi everyone,
I am graduating this December and have been looking for a job after college. Recently I got an infraction ticket for an open container violation; I was transporting a bottle of alcohol on foot with the cap on but seal broken and was unaware that this was against the law. My question is: should i disclose this on the application when asked if i have ever been convicted of a crime and also how likely is it that an infraction, it was a city ordinance violation if that changes anything, will show up on an employer's background check?
If i do tell an employer how big of deal would this be?
I am concerned because recently i got to the top three out of 30 applicants for a job and told them about it, a week later they told me they were moving on with the other two applicants.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
