JOB: Junior web designer/Content coordinator

Location : Maidenhead (Berkshire, South East, United Kingdom)
Salary : 15K

We are actively recruiting a junior web-designer/content coordinator to take on an initial full time 3 months internship with a good chance for the right candidate to become permanent at the end this period. For the first 3 months, all your expenses will be paid by the company (transport, lunch). After these 3 months you will become a full-time employee.

You will be working in a very exciting and fast moving industry and will be responsible for managing and editing all content for our mobile sites. You will be involved in mobile web improvement projects, in areas such as design, functionality and usability. You will be asked to create story boards and design our new sites. Therefore a good understanding of basic web design skills is required (XHTML/CSS, Photoshop...).

You will work within our IT team and will report to our online marketing manager.

Ideally you will also have videos editing experience and exposure to mobile sites development or to the mobile industry. However this is not compulsory.

The ideal candidate:

• University degree and ideally a post graduate qualification in a relevant field such as web design;
• Strong written, oral and inter-personal communication and writing skills;
• Good general IT skills / MS office standard applications.
• Strong experience in hand coding in XHTML
• Strong experience in hand coding in CSS
• Understand the process of uploading and downloading via FTP
• Proficient in Photoshop
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Organised
• Self motivated
• Ability to form successful working relationships with colleagues across the group

Main role and responsibilities:

• Manage and schedule key content and ensure it is always up to date and accessible to the final user.
• Ensure our client's brand/product are represented on the site in the most effective, profitable and user-friendly way.
• Coordination of site content preparation processes and procedures.
• Coordination of the design of templates for use to prepare web-based documents and other presentation materials for print and client presentations.
• Coordination and undertaking of editing of all content to be published (primarily e-based).

This role is perfect for someone who has the skills but not yet the experience. The company is a moving and growing company so the right candidate is likely to grow as well within the company.
