Monsters response to my response

This article will finish soon.  I promise.

This is the post that Monster put on the site after I was banned and was also sent to me by email.

The following email has been sent to user MarkIT.

MarkIT,

NOTE: THE WEB" ADVERTS, AND ANY MESSAGES THAT CONTAIN OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE WILL BE REMOVED. POSTING SUCH MESSAGES COULD RESULT IN YOU BEING BANNED FROM THIS SITE.

By placing your site url in your last message, you quite frankly was taking the rise. Like I said before, Monster is a business and we have provided guidelines for you, and we have been more than fair. Were not here to play games.

I am asking you to search Monster first, or contact me, then I can decide on an alternative site to use.

I don't like making the rules so hard and fast and I was willing to bend them seeing as you have been a constant contributor to our site forum. The odd mention of your site would have been fine, if you were prepard to follow the simple guidelines.

If you want access to Monster forums again, then email me and let me know that your prepared to follow the guidelines.

Finally, here's what I've got to say about Monster!

I personally think that given the amount of users they have and the quality of their database system, that there is little chance of someone getting a job through Monster, especially if they work in a competitive market.  You should spend your time working on your CV, contacting recruitment agencies in your area and looking for jobs using conventional means.

The best you could have hoped for at Monster is some good advice, but now they are clamping down on that, so all you'll get is what they have "approved".

You can get good advice here in our discussion forum.  There are good people on the forum who will do what they can to help you and point you in the right direction.

And you have my word that all posts will be replied to and if we can't help you, we'll find a site that can.

Chances are you won't get a job here, but at least I'm honest about it and at the end of the day I'm not a recruitment agency.  And I won't keep your CV online "just in case" a job comes along.

But, this is just my opinion, based on my limited experience.  As I said at the beginning of this very long article, don't believe everything you read - go and make up your own mind (and I'd love to hear your opinion on our discussion forum.

Best of luck to one and all.

Regards
